Parts of Jakarta are a modern metropolis, but not everyone enjoys the good life. It was 90 degrees and 100% humidity and this man was pulling his loaded cart up hill on a busy street with motorcycles, cars and buses whizzing by. Notice he does not even have shoes.
It's so wonderful to see all of your pictures. It's not quite the shock to me that it might be for some of your other friends. I've been to India. Nothing shocks me anymore.
